Last updated: 16 July 2026

This policy explains how to cancel a WeatherDuck subscription and when a refund may be available. It applies to monthly and annual paid subscriptions purchased directly through weatherduck.co.uk and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

1. Cancelling future renewals

You can stop automatic renewal at any time through your WeatherDuck account or by using the cancellation form below.

If you cancel outside an applicable cooling-off period, your access will normally continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. You will not be charged again. If you ask us to end access immediately, unused time is not normally refundable.

2. New subscriptions and the 14-day cooling-off period

If you are a UK consumer, you may cancel a new paid subscription within 14 days without giving a reason. Weather Duck will provide a full refund of your first subscription payment when your cancellation notice is sent within this period, even if your access has already started.

This policy does not limit any cancellation or refund rights you have under consumer law.

3. Annual subscription renewals

If an annual subscription renews, you may cancel within 14 days of the renewal payment and receive a full refund of that annual renewal payment.

Monthly renewal payments are generally non-refundable once the new monthly period has begun, except where the circumstances below apply or the law requires otherwise.

4. Other refunds

We will also provide an appropriate refund where:

  • you were charged more than once by mistake;
  • the amount charged was incorrect;
  • a payment was taken after a valid cancellation;
  • we materially failed to provide the paid service; or
  • your statutory rights require one.

5. How to cancel or give notice

You can:

You do not need to give a reason. Please use the email address associated with your WeatherDuck account so we can identify the correct subscription. Your notice is treated as given when it is submitted or sent. We will acknowledge receipt and confirm the effective cancellation date and any refund due.

6. How refunds are paid

Any refund due will be returned to the original payment method without a processing fee. We will initiate it without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your cancellation notice where a refund is due. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display it.
